So, if the Covid-19 virus magically infected every person on Earth (100%) in 2020, the mortality rate for this would match this level. However, the virus will not infect everyone because ‘herd immunity’ will start to kick in at about the 60% level.
Thus, this means that even during this pandemic the world population will still increase.
