Trump, ever the consummate 'bad boy', understands that in order to be constantly acknowledged he must stand out from the crowd. He proved that in the presidential primaries. Even his outlandish hair style and orange skin are a form of marketing called 'branding'. And some people are often caught up in fads and such, enough of his "over-the-top" hype might actually tip the scales in America's Rust Belt where an inordinate percentage of disavowed voters who don't "feel" like they've had enough of a say in things live.
