The Garden of Eden

The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is special and unique. As mankind was entering an age of a more more socially complex society based upon agriculture and leaving hunting and gathering behind, an innocence was lost. The knowledge of Good and Evil became paramount as social order advanced in overall sophistication. The farmer replaced the huntsman. And territorial disputes birthed ever more intense conflicts and advanced warfare.
The geographic setting that inspired this tale is at the head of the Persian Gulf where four rivers entered the sea close by one another -- when the sea level was much lower and the climate more moist and favorable in this region at the beginning of the current interglacial age.
