Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon Gases Do Not Reemit Infrared Energy

Nitrogen(N2), oxygen(O2) and Argon(Ar) comprise 99% of the Earth’s atmosphere. They do not absorb and reemit the heat energy of infrared (IR) photons. Thus, they do not contribute to the ‘blanketing effect’ like larger greenhouse gas molecules do.
